When I’m Alone…..

When I’m alone, I feel akin to none!
In crowded squares it is that I feel lone,
Friends buzz me all day on the ‘phone,
And I avoid talking, saying I’m not home!!
When I’m alone, every task is forgone,
I overlook to see my soul as ma ‘own,
With time, I repay each loan
Though I forget to check my skin tone!
When I’m alone, the Earth seems to moan,
It mocks me – my hair windblown,
The tunes of Mozart seem but a bee’s drone,
While loneliness appears; its skills honed
My heart gets desperate for a clone
And then, off goes my phone,
I hear a melodious ringtone,
And I know I’m not alone!!!
